Lucknow: Amity International School, Viraj Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, successfully organised the Regional Round of the National Youth Robotics Challenge, bringing together young innovators from across the region. The event was held under the visionary leadership of Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 150 students forming more than 60 teams representing leading schools.
The competition highlighted the growing interest and emerging talent in robotics and STEM education. Students demonstrated their technical skills and creativity across a wide range of categories, including Robo War, RC Car Race, Robo Race, Route Ranger, Maze Solver, Drone Race and Innovation Showdown, where participants designed, built and programmed robots capable of autonomous navigation, task execution and innovative problem-solving.
Addressing the occasion, Principal Rachna Mishra said that the challenge went beyond robotics, focusing on nurturing creativity, confidence and real-world problem-solving skills among students. She expressed pride in witnessing the passion, dedication and ingenuity displayed by the young participants.


Echoing the futuristic vision of Amity, Dr Lalit Mittal, Head, Children’s Science Foundation, Amity Group of Schools, emphasised the institution’s commitment to equipping students with 21st-century skills and preparing them to become future-ready leaders and responsible global citizens.
Participants were judged on technical proficiency, teamwork, creativity and their ability to perform under pressure. The judging panel, comprising Prabhat Mishra, CEO, Umaga Edutech Private Limited, and Sheela Pandey, Head of the Robotics Club, La Martiniere Girls’ College, faced a challenging task in evaluating the high standard of performances. The event was smoothly coordinated by the core organising team of Ratnesh Pratap Singh, Suraj Tiwari and Satyaprakash Mishra.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organising committee, partner schools, mentors and students. The Regional Round of the National Youth Robotics Challenge proved to be a resounding success, reaffirming Amity International School’s commitment to promoting STEM excellence and fostering innovation among the leaders of tomorrow.
